From Germany, here is Super-Vocalist Nicole with the original German version of her 1982 smash hit, Papillon (French word meaning Butterfly). Nicole has also recorded other versions of Papillon in French, Dutch and English. Nicole became an instant International Superstar, after the Live performance of her song, Ein Bißchen (Bisschen) Frieden (A Little Peace), at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1982, when she was only 17 years old. In addition to the original German, Nicole recorded "8" additional full versions of Ein Bißchen Frieden, in 8 different languages of French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, English, Danish, Polish and Russian.

When asked what her best memory was of the night at the 1982 Eurovision song contest, Nicole responded that it was of course, the victory, but what weighted more for her was that a German girl with a song about Peace, earned 12 points from a judge from Israel.

She has managed to cross the boundaries separating German music from the rest of the world, breaking into the international market and being heard in countries as far as Japan & China.
