In the 1970s, I lived in student housing and bought the first albums that resonated with me. It started with Herman's Hermits ('60s), the Beach Boys, and the Electric Light Orchestra [ELO], because I could sing along. And the songs were strong, both musically and lyrically. Soon came The Doors, Uriah Heep, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Pink Floyd, and true symphonic rock music like Marillion's Fish. For most of my life, I've seen that direction as a defining, or common thread. And to be honest, every kind of music has interested me to some extent. Except for music in my own language, which has always been the case. Through my extensive writing, including poetry, I started combining music. And I soon realized that "Swishing Tails" takes me back to the 1970s. And in a few songs, I hear the old music of Uriah Heep, partly because of the vocals. And the orchestral pieces, for me, are the 1970s and 1980s in terms of symphonic rock. This project has been underway for a while now, and I've written 21 songs for an hour and a half. And I want to share them all with you. Videos for some of the songs are already available online, so they're included in this hour-and-a-half music video. The title song of this music video, "Fairytail Two Trees and a Robin," is one of my oldest lyrics (early 80s) and has a strong musical theme that resonates deeply with me.
